You may or may not have heard of White collar and Blue collar workers. If you have not, in essence it basically means that a White-collar work is generally completed in an administrative / office setting. A Blue-collar requires manual work.

For a while it was perceived that White-collar jobs required more education and were a class above. This was because White-collar jobs generally required a bachelors degree from a college or University, whereas Blue-collared workers achieved a trade certificate.
